Leaf Space announces the appointment of Marco Villa as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
With a distinguished career in the aerospace sector, gained mainly in the United States, Villa brings his international experience to a company that has already established itself as a global reference infrastructure for satellite-to-ground connectivity. His presence on the Board of Directors will help support the growth path and vision of a true “internet for satellite systems,” propelling Leaf Space toward new opportunities for development and innovation.
Leaf Space is now the world’s second-largest operator in the ground segment-as-a-service sector, with a proprietary network of 40 ground stations distributed globally. The company supports over 130 satellites in orbit, providing mission operations, telemetry, tracking, and data downlink services through a scalable, state-of-the-art operating model.
Leaf Space thanks Laura Amadesi for her contribution as chair of the board of directors, which has supported the strengthening of governance and accompanied the company through an important phase of growth.
“We are thrilled to welcome Marco Villa as our new chairman,” said Cristina Zanchi, CEO of Leaf Space. “His international experience and strategic vision will be key levers in accelerating our growth and consolidating our leadership position in the industry.”
